AGLOCO going out of business?

The problems for AGLOCO, one of the latest internet biggest buzzes, don't seem close to come to end. With an original concept of a global company where every user has a share relative to the amount of time spent using the ViewBar (a bar that displays ads for the user while surfing the web), and after a tremendous and explosive start, with thousands of people joining the program (me included), the issue of revenue distribution started to arise as the development team continued to argue that no benefit was generated yet and that they were still putting money from their pockets to keep the program alive.
A partnership with Ask.com (a search engine), appeared to bring an end to the trouble. It was presented as a great opportunity, and members of AGLOCO were encouraged to use it for their searches.
Unfortunately, the crash was apparently inevitable. In fact, yesterday I received this email from the development team :

Dear Oussama,

We would like to update you on the status of AGLOCO's operations. We continue to believe in the AGLOCO concept, but our revenue is currently not sufficient to give Members a meaningful distribution. And though there are increases in membership, the resulting revenue is not enough to support operating costs. As a development team we are unable to continue to use our savings to fund the operations. If any Member would like to pursue continuing the operations of AGLOCO, you may contact us at agloco1[at]live.com .

We would like to thank every Member for supporting our effort to bring a piece of the Internet directly to the user. We hope that we can find a way to keep the operations going.

AGLOCO Development Team

This email is, to me, nothing more and nothing less than a farewell email. I still don't get the "we continue to believe in the AGLOCO concept" thing. It's not what the experience showed and it's not what this email is telling.
I am not sure if any members would like to continue pursuing the experience. However, the future may bring new elements.

Why did AGLOCO fail? This might be the subject of a future post...

A new look for a new start

The previous period was for me a time of evaluation as far as my blogging activity was concerned. I was totally reconsidering my way of using this blog and its future direction. I must admit that it was a total mess during the last months with a lot of "try and test".

I decided that it was time for a new beginning. I sorted out (and am still doing it) what I wanted to keep in my blog and what wasn't necessary, and I thought that a great way of emphasizing the new direction is to start over with a new look/template.

I spent the whole night transferring from the old to the new template and I think a big part of the work is done, although I think I will finish sometime tomorrow since I need some sleep and that it's 4:45 AM local time. :)
It already looks prettier. Moreover, the problems I used to have with Internet Explorer are now solved.

I am looking forward for a great new blogging adventure.

Stay tuned !

Who wants $20 in free clicks ?

You may not need to take your breakfast every morning. You may not need to sleep enough every night. But who doesn't need some free clicks to promote his/her website or blog? Will $20 do? Then get yours at BidVertiser.

Depending on the keywords you need to bid on to promote your site, you will get more or less clicks with those $20, but you can expect to have a descent amount of traffic driven towards you anyway. They could even help you do some sales.

Enjoy the gift and use it wisely!

First Sale while sleeping :)

Yesterday was made my first sale through my income4beginners free e-book. And it was literally made while I was sleeping :)

I made the purchase of the rebranded E-book on Oct 29th and my first sale was made Nov 20th. That rounds up to 22 days between the investment and the first income.

I guess it's fair given the fact that I didn't spend a dime on promotion. I relied on free promotion using two major means :
- TrafficSwarm : One of the most efficient traffic exchange systems.
- Wjob.eu : An autosurf tool.
In addition to that, I put a link on the blog and talked about it in a facebook group.

This said, and with this first sale only, I got my investment back and any other sale will start bringing benefits out of this income opportunity.

I am excited to see how it'll goe in the near future.

Zlio announces the release of V3 shortly

Zlio announced in its members newsletter #32 and on its blog, the release of a faster, more intuitive and user-friendly version of its system.
Zlio allows people to create online shops and sell products chosen from their huge database (around 3 million products).
What I think is that this announced V3 comes mainly in response to the feedback of users concerning the way products were added to the storefront (One at a time), which was very time consuming and boring.
Shop owners earn commissions on their sales and on their downline's. They can also activate the pay-per-click option and get paid on clicks generated on certain links on their shop(s).
They lately added Adsense. Shops' owners can place AdSense units on their shop(s) and get 60% of the revenue generated.
As far as I am concerned, I generated one sale since I started using Zlio. 2 of my downline also generated sales. So I got commissions on them. All the rest came from Pay-Per-Click. PPC works easier than sales but generates a lot less at the same time.
I must admit that I didn't commit enough time on promoting and updating my shops, anyway! I think the potential of Zlio is real. I just need to focus more.
Finally, let me tell you what I like about Zlio : There is NO MINIMUM PAYOUT! I love that part. The less happy part is that it takes time for commissions to get validated, especially those generated through sales. But as soon as they are approved, you can cash them in your Paypal. And for small amounts, no fees are charged in Paypal. How about that ?
