Following the news about the war in Lebanon, I often take some minutes every morning to surf on several web sites and read opinions here and there. This morning I found this picture on one of the blogs and I was literally shocked.
The picture represents Israeli children writing messages on rockets. I cannot really read what the messages are but the only image of children playing with weapons and sending messages on them is horrifying, for me. Messages that will travel along with horror and destruction.
I am obviously not blaming those children. They probably don't realize what they are doing and are manipulated to do that. They are probably trying to write something nice. It is probably just a game for them. I am just out of words to describe the adults who asked them to do that. How evil can they be in using children and their innocence, to make them send messages through bombs? Look at the woman wearing orange in the backgroung! Look at her smile!
I really am worried for this world. What values are these children taught? How can we expect them to be part in a peace making process in the future? How can adults be this heartless in using children's innocence in their dirty conflicts?
