Barcelona ... A city to visit

Wafa and I are just back from a great city : Barcelona; and a new country to add to the list of my visited countries, which now rounds up to 17 :)
The journey was short : Arrived September 3rd and leaved September 6th . This left us with less than 2 days to visit considered that we had a half-day of work on the 4th.
We managed, however, to see a lot of the magnificent Barcelona :

- Parc Guell

- Sagrada Familia

- La Rambla

- CAMP NOU (YEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS)
This mythic stadium was one of my targets since we first touched the Spanish soil : The castle of FC Barcelona. The Camp Nou Tour takes you into every corner of the stadium. It was a magical moment, for the soccer fan I am, when I came out of the tunnel that leads the players to the field.
FC Barcelona also holds a museum, and an official store that sells everything you can imagine related to the club, even Barca potato chips.
When I was leaving the Camp Nou, I finally understood the Barca slogan : "Mes Que Un Club " (More than a Club)

- Parc Montjuic and its Teleferic
- The Olympic city
- Torre Agbar
- Port Olimpic : A lot of restaurants.
- Barrio Gothic
And much more ...

Barcelona is a city that sleeps...but late. La Rambla is as crowded at midnight as it is at midday. Artisits, souvenir shops, restaurants, cafes, cervezerias and everything you need to enjoy the city the way you want it. I can recommend a restaurant on La Rambla that does great Paella and Seafood dishes, at a good price : Attic. We loved it.

Transportation is very efficient. Subway and Buses take you almost everywhere in the city. It also has a tramway. A private bike rental company offers hundreds of bikes on self service all around the city. You just need to use you Credit Card to unlock one, use it and bring it back when finished. A lot of Barcelonans use bikes to move.

A lot more can be said about the city but the best thing to do is to experience it yourself. But an advice I can give you is to plan for at least a week to visit everything. Otherwise, you will be as tired as we were at the end of the stay.
